NextBill.com, Inc. Names Charles Patterson as Product Development Manager
DALLAS (March 1, 2000) -
NextBill.com, Inc., a pioneer in the development of the "direct" model of
electronic bill presentment and payment solutions, announces today that
Charles Patterson has been named as the chief product development manager
for the NextBill system.
As Product Development Manager, Mr. Patterson will be
responsible for overseeing all tactical and strategic product development
plans, including design, development and deployment. He will coordinate
with managers, systems engineers and programmers in the areas of messaging
systems, Internet development and payment processing technologies.
Mr. Patterson comes to NextBill.com with over 20 years of experience in software development, management and process improvement for high technology start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. He most recently owned Ellis Research Company, a software and process improvement consulting firm. About NextBill.com, Inc. NextBill.com,

statements directly to customers as e-mail attachments. Customers make
payment by clicking on a "Pay Bill" hyperlink to an online payment screen
at the biller's Web site, where payment options can be set. The payment is
then processed via the Federal Reserve's Automated Clearinghouse system.
The company spun off from its parent company, Brinkman Technologies, Inc.
(BTI) in February 2000. In April 2000, Eagle Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq:
EBSI) acquired 60% ownership in the company after its largest subsidiary,
Tucker Federal Bank, successfully piloted the NextBill system.
